The Villa is a part of a row housing community, located at the end of one the internal streets within. The clients, a young, working couple and their 2 year old son; wanted a minimal clutter free home to accommodate the growing needs of their family. The existing structure was altered to open up the house by providing a double height space and a skylight. A temple tree adorns the living space, under the skylight, offering a visual relief within the house. Though most of the house is in white, warm wooden tones are blended in meticulously. The furniture and furnishings are kept minimal and neutral, which adds to the expanse of the house. Accents were added by décor elements, cushions and toys. The fun element in the house is the kids bedroom; designed to be single unit which accommodates two bunk beds, storage for toys & clothes, a study desk and a writing board. The room is finished off with custom designed wallpaper reminiscent of Andy’s room from the ‘Toy story’ series.
